Greetings from The Pickett Fence

Aren't they adorable! These are just 3 of the blocks in our new Snowman
Block of the Month (BOM) program that will start in September. "Chilly
Charmers" by Pearl Louise Designs will be a 12 month BOM program
featuring the cutes snowmen and penguin families. The completed sample,
62x62, will be ready for showing by July 18th just in time for our
Christmas in July Open House! This BOM is a combination of piecing and
appliqué. The appliqué method used is your choice, by machine or hand
appliqué. A begin appliqué class will be included in as a part of the
BOM where we will teach both machine appliqué and raw edge hand appliqué
methods.
The "Chilly Charmers" BOM will be held the 1st Saturday morning at 10:30
and/or the Monday evening following the 1st Saturday of every month at
6:00 starting in September.

Construction Update
Construction is progressing nicely. All the water and
sewer are completed on the first two blocks as well as the new curb and
gutter. They are now working on the wiring and bases for the new street
lights which should be completed by July 11th. Sidewalks should be replaced
by the 26th of July. Soooo it won't be too much longer and we will be back
to normal!!! Thank you for continuing to visit during the construction and
remember there is plenty of parking on Beaumont as well as Blackhawk and in
the public parking lots just 1/2 block north.
