The Pickett Fence is proud to announce we have a partnership with Operation Snuggles and are now an official drop off site for the worthy organization which collects warm and snuggly quilts for the children of our military men and women serving aboard. There are many deployed from Wisconsin and we would like to be able to give their children a quilt to snuggle in. Quilts that would be appropriate for babies, children and teenagers are welcome. We will also make quilts for the wounded soldiers from Wisconsin. We are also making Gold Star quilts for the families of our Fallen Soldiers. We are in great need of quilts for our wounded from Wisconsin. The quilts should be at least 70" x 86" for their beds.The organization has just sent me a list of children, boy or girl, as well as age ranges that they need quilts for. I will post these very soon. I am also working on setting up a day and time that we will be having a charity quilting open sewing event each month to make quilts for Operation Snuggle. If you can give time to sew or if you have fabric or batting which you would like to donate we will be more than happy to accept it for the organization. Watch for more info to follow!
